**Przypominajka** is a smart wearable device that monitors the condition of the patient's hand and actively supports the rehabilitation process. It was designed in two versions to meet the different needs of post-stroke patients.
Version 1: Interactive Trainer
This version of Przypominajka is an advanced motivational system.
- Active Training: In cooperation with a tablet application, the device reminds and motivates the patient to regularly perform the prescribed set of exercises.
- Intelligent Recognition: Thanks to built-in sensors, the system can assess whether an exercise has been performed correctly. A correct performance is rewarded, which further encourages consistency.
- Remote Monitoring: The platform allows the therapist to remotely track the patient's progress and individually adjust the exercise plan.
- Proven Effectiveness: Studies involving patients have shown that supplementary exercises using the Przypominajka had a positive impact on the rehabilitation process, leading to a statistically significant improvement in hand function.
Version 2: "Śpioszek" (The Sleeper) - The Hand's Guardian Angel
This version focuses on the safety of the hand, which the patient cannot feel.
- Injury Protection: "Śpioszek" constantly monitors the limb's position to prevent it from being unconsciously placed in an incorrect position (e.g., being crushed during sleep or while sitting).
- Alarm System: If a dangerous position is detected that could lead to injury or nerve damage, the device discreetly alerts the user.
- Patent Protection: The concept for this device has been granted a Polish patent, confirming its innovation.
Przypominajka is an example of how modern wearable technology can become a personal assistant for the patient, supporting them both in active training and in ensuring their daily safety.
